Many players from around the world still have no idea on how to properly behave in an online game. Some behave in a bad way because they weren’t taught the manners, but some are just completely ignorant.
In this article I would like to extend all of the War Thunder players’ knowledge on the manners and etiquettes, which should be shown in game towards your fellow players.
Manners, Etiquettes when driving in Ground Battles
You just spawn in with your fresh vehicle and at the start of the match there is surely a teammate who rams into you. But have you ever wondered who’s fault was that? If you do care, keep reading the article. Soon you'll find out!
I’m sure every single one of us have been there. We just started and we barely had any idea on how to actually look out for eachother. I've been committing the same mistakes most of you do. Still, these unwritten War Thunder rules were mostly based on real life Driving School teachings and I am honored to tell you guys more about it. So, have fun reading it!
Keeping the Distance
The first etiquette you all should be knowing; is to keep your distance! Always look out for other players and how close you are to their vehicles. Always keep enough distance for you to react and brake before hitting the player infront in case he brakes.
The right hand rule
The second etiquette you all should be knowing is the „Right hand rule.” It is a common practice on real life roads when there are no signs to tell you who has the way. Whenever you see somebody appear from your right just hit the brakes and let them go through. It's not worth pushing eachother.
Clear sight
The third unwritten rule is to always watch out for teammates behind you! Do not block their sight as it might result in either your or their vehicle getting destroyed. If you have an option for it, stand next to them instead infront of them.
Being smarter
At fourth; If you ever find yourself in a bad position, just try escaping. It’s not worth pushing eachother around! You lose tons of time if you all start pushing eachother.
Helping your teammate efficiently
At fifth; If you see a teammate wounded try to pull them out of the warzone before helping them repair. That way you ensure their safety and allow them to recover more easily.
Keeping the flow
At seventh and for now the last unwritten rule; Don't turn your vehicle infront of your teammates. Always wait for them to pass by. As people who turn infront of other teammates usually end up getting rammed. So just don’t try to speed up just to cause a wreckage. It's very important to keep the flow.
Well that was a kind of "fine" Article I think. I hope I could clear your minds on how to actually look out for eachother and don't just drive recklessly! Be safe!
Also make sure to tell me in case you'd like to see the Etiquettes of Air Battles too.
Thanks for reading!
