My friend gave me a code to access the game for two weeks, a sort of "test it before you buy it" sort of deal. From that short experience I'd say it's worthwhile if you're big into sandbox RPGs. The quests are fairly mundane for the genre, but the characters and, more specifically your character's charm makes up for that tenfold. The graphics are stunning and the creatures you can tame are fantastic.
The combat is pretty legit. The only problem I have is the slow grinding system of a typical MMORPG. But surely, you get some economic skills out of this game. Especially with the marketplace and its' shifty behaviour.
