NEW BRITISH TIER VIII WHEELED MEDIUM TANK: SALADIN (FV601) DEMO
Meet GSOR 1010's challenger, the upgradeable Saladin tank.
British medium tanks in tier VIII are represented by the premium GSOR 1010 and the upgradeable Saladin. The Saladin has moderate average damage, on par with Soviet medium tanks. In relation to the projectiles, we can once again talk about normal and premium APCR projectiles, of which again only the latter will be suitable for defeating better protected vehicles and distant targets. Due to its long charge time, this tank can hardly be called a DPM beast, but at the same time, it can be an ideal unit for more deliberate, picketing tactics.
The Saladin is not a vehicle that can be used recklessly. The parameters of the gun can be ideal for firing precise shots, while its -8 degree gun depression not only allows it to unfold on flat terrain, but also makes it suitable for hull down positions. Of course, this only applies to the gun maneuverability values, since in terms of armor we will still be supplied with it for artillery, shrapnel-destroying projectiles and smaller level tanks.
It is an interesting fact that its speed is almost identical to what the branch provided in tier VII, so we cannot speak of serious progress in this area, but at the same time it does not set us back, which can be considered a happy stagnation. The Saladin is primarily considered a better tank compared to its predecessor in terms of firepower, which is reflected not only in the alpha and projectile speed, but also in the projectile sinking.
NEW BRITISH TIER IX WHEELED MEDIUM TANK: GSOR 1006 SCH. 7 PRESENTATIONS
The British medium tanks in tier IX take a huge step forward in terms of firepower, which makes the GSOR 1006 perhaps the most effective British medium tank.
World of Tanks will soon be expanding with a completely new branch, but these tanks will not roll into the virtual battlefields on wheels, but on tracks. The branch has real destructive power in tier IX among the options that can be developed. The outstanding alpha of 390 is not the highest in the tier, but at the same time we have not seen this level of firepower in the British branch. The gun can even be said to operate with normal and premium APCR ammunition with excellent projectile velocity, a term that may indeed be correct considering the aiming and accuracy parameters.
The GSOR 1006 exceeds our expectations not only in terms of firepower, but also in terms of mobility. While the Tier VII and Tier VIII units had a top speed of 60 km/h and a reverse speed of 30 km/h, the Tier IX beast is capable of a top speed of 65 km/h and a reverse speed of 32 km/h. If that's not all, it's the most protected on the branch, as the 60-millimeter-thick frontal armor allows you to bounce off it.
However, this tank is obviously not perfect either, so the increased alpha and speed, as well as the improved armor, are hampered by its ammunition capacity. Because the tank can carry only 20 shells, which also means that the potential average maximum damage dealt in one round can be only 7,800. Of course, with a really lucky battle, where the stars also want it with ignitions and ammunition compartment explosions, it can be more, but we felt that we should highlight this to show the limitations of the tank.
