Skąd moje zdziwienie w tytule newsa? No bo GTA V to przecież gra, która niezbyt kojarzy nam się z bezpiecznym ruchem drogowym. W produkcji Rockstara dochodzi czasem do niesłychanych rzeczy związanych z kraksami, zachowaniem kierowców czy ogólnie mówiąc ruchem ulicznym. Kto wie, może m.in. dlatego "piątka" przykuła uwagę naukowców i inżynierów z Intel Labs i Uniwersytetu Darmstadt zajmujących się projektowaniem samoprowadzących się aut. Otóż stworzyli oni program, która pomaga inteligentnym autom w rozpoznawaniu pojazdów, przechodniów oraz innych elementów scenerii w GTA V. Dzięki temu naukowcy nie muszą korzystać z danych wziętych z prawdziwego świata, na co musieliby przeznaczyć "tysiące godzin". Wg nich tak sztucznie generowane dane z wirtualnych światów pokroju GTA V są prawie tak samo dobre, a czasem nawet lepsze, niż te z realnego środowiska. I niech jeszcze ktoś mi powie, że gry wideo to samo zło. Być może dzięki nim na drogi szybciej wyjadą w pełni bezpieczne, samoprowadzące się auta.
