Are Roblox Games Copying New Steam Games Or Is It Just Me?

Roblox has become the biggest gaming platform in the world with millions of games for players to enjoy them. These days it is so common seeing Roblox games that look very similar or even identicle to popular steam games. Some developers recreate these popular games which raises the question of wether these games are originals or just stolen copies.

One reason that these games have become popular is because Roblox is a free to play game (besides Robux). Not everyone wants to spend money on a steam game when instead they can just play the free Roblox version which gives them the chance to experience the original.

Because of these copies the original developers of the game spent a lot of time and effort into their projects making them feel like all the effort was for waste as theirs a free to play version on Roblox. But on the other hand taking inspiration from another game isn't always a bad thing. Instead of completing stealing the game they can use the idea but add their own features, characters, and types of challenges this can make the game a lot more enjoyable as it wont be a stolen idea but a new one.

overall i think Roblox games inspired by these new steam games can be entertaining. However the Roblox developers should just try to make their own games unique rather then relying entirely on some else's idea. Original games give players something new to discover and help make Roblox a more interesting gaming platform if they don't keep making complete copies of the originals.
