i keep loosing levels for "discracefull behavior" even though i havent used foul language spammed or anything else i can think of.its getting annoying
Thank you for this thread, it's quite informative and finally there is much more actual feedback than just repetitive meaningless messages. To say in general, I guess I may agree with many points in here. However this affects the 'normal' users, I mean non-spamming ones, too much. To be honest, I'm just afraid to write somewhere or to create a topic, or vote for article, as the risk to lose XP is high in any case. Someone may copy-and-paste my comment and it will be deleted, someone may remove the thread and my comment in it will be deleted, too. And so on. I only wish there would be a solution.
Thanks for the Information. Now I understand why I am still a level 2
good to knows this information
hi guys i want to thank you about the information i really respect you thx
Found this thread again, so decided to bump it by clarifying one small thing.
Imagine a user wrote an original commentary that consists of more than just 2-3 simple words and matches the context. Later, this comment was copied, in full or almost completely. Will the author of the original commentary be able to report that copy-paste without risks for himself and will that copy be regarded as spam? I see such situations from time to time, so I just wanted to ask.
thx for the information....
Like you get 2% xp for 1 comment then why do they take away 10?
@Kabash
May I ask if we comment more than 10 comments a day, does it consider as spam?
@AnimationPr0 Kabash told earlier in this thread commenting more than 10 comments per day is not considered to be spam
is it still valid? there always seems to be a lot of spam on the forums
Still is valid, feel free to report any spam you come across.
Bumping this thread.
And let me please ask some quite obvious questions, just in order to be sure whether I report something in the right way and to see the stated answers. Maybe this will be also useful for others, especially to those who wonder why they are losing their levels. I'll mark some points with stars in order to give examples.
So... Is it sonsidered to be a spam, if a user:
a) posts several messages or threads in a row obviously for xp farming;
b) copypastes other's messages or making only a slight changing* of them;
c) makea offtopic** threads;
d) begs for donations or for subscribing to his \ her account, etc.;
e) creates threads copying the already existing ones***;
f) insistly uses inappropriate language not corresponding to the chosen language of the forums and not beingjustified by context, etc.
* - Adding a couple of smiles or letters, etc. And it's not the kind of copypasting in terms of discussion, i.e. adding some personal opinion to other user's post.
** - Threads about Roblox in non-Roblox forums without a real contextual need of it.
*** - Multiple threads with "How to earn XP", "How to earn SG", or "Roblox or Minecraft", etc., especially when there are several similar fresh threads and they are of similar value.
These are only few questions, and I do understant that the context is of a huge value here, as well as the certain special cases. Also I would really wanted to learn what else moderators may consider as spam, as while watching some moderators' attitude to spam I've found out that a personal meaning may have a great impact on it.
Also I'm really interested to learn more about a so-called shadow ban,- I mean, there is some messages on the forums saying that you may catch a ban if you report too much, but no information about what is considered to be too much and whether there any notification or indicator referring to this thing.
Thank you!
@masculinium> Is it considered to be a spam
Yes, points a) to f) are considered spam and should be reported. Regarding e) duplicate threads, before you report them you should link them the most relevant thread. If users within that thread still refuse to stop spamming, then only in that case do you report them.
> no indicator referring to this thing.
That's the point, it's called a
shadow-ban for a reason to ensure that the user isn't aware that he has received it. What this entails is as follows:
- All current reports made by the user will be invalidated. I.E. He will not receive SG/credit for any report he makes even if they are accepted.
- User will be blacklisted from the system. I.E. His reports will not be sent to us even though he still sees the option to report comments
- The user may or may not receive an XP penalty depending on the number of false reports he had made leading up to the shadow ban.
E.g. In cases where users go through entire well-meaning discussions and report everyone within it despite them not spamming.
- Depending on the severity, a site ban instead of a shadow ban may be issued.
> catch a ban if you report too much
It's not about the number of reports you make. It's about the number for false reports a user makes. If the majority of their reports have been deemed false by moderators, then they would receive the above penalties based on their severity.
The threshold varies from user to user so we aren't able to distinctly tell you what the limit is. In any case, if 90% of your reports are accepted and you receive SG, that means you haven't been shadowed banned and there isn't a cause for worry.
You can increase your XP by commenting on forums or completing game tasks. If you have any questions about spam comments, check out Kabash forum about 【PENALITIES】XP TAKEN AWAY, BANS AND MORE
@Kabash
Thank you so much for your detailed answer. I also apologize for some misspelling typos, sorry I can't fix them now. And I'll keep in mind your words about the duplicate threads.
Yes, I understand that the shadow ban will not give the user any specific notifications, except for "conclusions in practice", i.e. the user reports spam but will not receive the expected feedback in SG equivalent.
I wanted to ask about this in order to be sure...and also because I recently thought that my native Russian-speaking platform put me under such ban. However, later when I saw that there was still a lot of spam there, especially consisting of posts in the form of chaotic sets of letters and similar threads, I realized that there was another reason, not just me.
Thanks again and have a nice day!
thanks for the info. now i know

@masculinium : Same about the Russian area of the website. I really don't want to think and say bad things, but seems it's just an issue with checking the reports and spam as a whole there. Hope all will be fine soon :)
I my case, I also try to report really offending attitude - I do it quite rare, but still. Yes, we are all free in considering this or that game being not great for us, or even this website or anything else, but spreading aggression towards users or creating multiple posts with rude swearing and much negative vibes it is not very good. And sometimes it just seems to me that an excessive amount of unfounded negative reviews on a gaming forum can distract potential players from related games and completing tasks in them :) But this is a really controversial thing. There were also cases when I reported users instead of reporting comments - I did realize it wouldn't give me SG, but I just wanted to be sure whether I did something in the right way. I do not want to seem like a person who haughtily decides "what is right and what is wrong", it is important for me to learn and understand where I am wrong and where I could be right. I just, like you, hope that I can be useful here :)

@aonb : I agree with you. When I first started Gamehag, I have a passion for helping the community. However, I was often too kind and friendly to others and I learned that this type of behaviour was not wanted for users and moderators (including staff members) However, I have changed thanks to Gamehag. In my country, I do not experience any type of glitch or lag on gamehag and I am grateful for it. I hope gamehag will improve better with more users in the near future. :)
