I'm making a Steam Daily Chest Droprate Sheet

I have seen a lot of talks about how the Steam Daily Chest only contains 1 and 5 gems it seems, and got curious enough that I decided to create a tracking sheet myself to see if the rate is actually as horrible as I and everyone else have thought. But to speed up the process if anyone is interested you can join me. Just create a column next to my name and put your name and drop data in. You only need to do this once if you want, but I would really appreciate it if you can write in daily. The summary table is auto calculated so just leave it there.

Bumping it up a bit. Also does anyone know any possible drop type I'm missing? I've heard of people getting 50 SG or more from the chest, but not sure if my memory is correct.

My ID is 600753 and I joined more than a year ago, so to be generous we could set the Gamehag resident number to 1 million. Using a confidence level of 95% with 5% margin of error, the sample size should be a little bit below 400.

The chest is probably made with a RNG that generates a number between 1-10000 and you get the good rewards only if the number is for example between 9990 and 10000. So yea the odds are against you

Yes, you are right, it's still a long time even with my previous history. I have a better idea now tho, you can go hack gamehag to find out the real drop percent chances, only to find they aren't properly implemented in the drop system. And so, the search for the mythical unicorn continues...

I was also going to get my SG history up to input in the sheet, then realised I didn't sell ALL the gems gotten from the chest. Not including them would skew the result against runes, so I opted not to record them like you did. What a shame.

I know I only got 2 Manaz runes before and activated another one by mistake so it was easy to remember that, but you also have to count the weekly chests, they drop runes too, it can mess up the math too
