Aviation or Army?

both are good but which is better?

The aviation is better in my opinion.

if you are want action use avaiton.if you want to fun play army

i prefer army, skill gap is much higher

It depends on you but if you chose one of both you can still play the other

i prefer tanks since tanks are easier to play as it mainly 2d movement while planes are more 3d movement

Avi is kinda good if you get used to it but hard if not so its opinionated

In real life army is useless without a good air force.Is always a good strategy to send the air force first to clean up the area.Last you send the army to occupt the land

For the beginner I'd say Air is easier to understand because you can see everything going on. It might be harder to master though because air combat takes place in 3D and you need have a decent feel for which battles against other opponents you can win depending on what plane you are in and what they are in.

Tanks has many ways to die and from sources you did not see - you might think it's 2D - enemies can only be on the ground, but there are also attacks from planes and from artillery and through cover you was not aware could be shot through or over hills making the shot drop down on you even though you had no line of sight to the enemy.

IMO tanks therefore is more frustrating to new players.

This might anger some but I think new players should try naval battles before going into tanks.
It's many of the same mechanics but with far fewer places to hide and the water is perfectly flat as a battlefield - no hills there.
You also get warnings when there are aircrafts near you so it's a kind of tank-light gamemode.

Then once you understand aiming and firing in naval you can progress to tanks which is more complex.

I like aviation better

I've been playing the past week or so, I started with Army but I wasn't too good. After I started Aviation I was getting much more experienced at the game, Aviation can get get hard sometimes but it is very fun.. Aviation is probably the only thing I do on War Thunder now. So, personally I'd say that Aviation is better.

In arcade mode air is way more fun. In realistic both are alot of fun for different reasons with air being slower paced and needing understanding of the mechanics and principles of actual air combat such as altitude advantage , speed advantage, actual lRL manuvers, and how to apply those concepts to really do well. Tanks being alot lower in terms of skill and knowladge to do at least decent. Really depends what you are in the mood for.

I personally play aviation, it's more fun and balanced than ground (except for su-11)
