Resident Evil 2, as the name implies, is a remake of the original game Resident Evil 2 developed by Capcom in 1998.

 Story Summary

- Like the original 1998 game, Resident Evil 2 Remake is set in Raccon City.

- Almost every citizens of Raccon City was turned into zombies by the outbreak of T-Virus, a secret biological weapon developed by the Umbrella Corporation.

- The protagonists of the game are Leon S. Kennedy, a rookie police officer and Claire Redfield, a college student who was looking for her brother Chris Redfield.

Some Curiosities about the Game

- Resident Evil 2 Remake was released on January 25, 2019.

- It is a survival horror game developed by the Japanese company Capcom.

- Contrary to popular belief, the age of the characters has not changed. In the original game it is not possible to see much detail on the faces of the characters due to the graphic limitations of the time, so it is not possible to see the exact age.

- Resident Evil 2 Remake was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows only.

- Both minigames of the original game (The 4th Survivor) and (The Tofu Survivor) were retained in this Remake, but with some changes.

New additions

Resident evil 2 Remake, despite being a remake, brought several changes, as in the improved graphics and also several changes in the gameplay.

- The game camera was switched to the shoulder camera, like in Resident Evil 4, 2005.

- Also as in Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 2 Remake implemented adaptive difficulty. This system increases and decreases the difficulty according to the player's gameplay.

- The gunpowder combination for creating ammo, present in Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7, has also been added to the Resident Evil 2 Remake.

- Another new implementation in the game was stealth, it is now possible to walk slowly to avoid attracting the attention of enemies.

Extra Content

- The 4th Survivor

In this minigame we control the soldier Hunk (leader of the U.S.S. Alpha team) and aim to take the G-Virus sample to Umbrella after his team is destroyed by monster G.

- The Tofu Survivor

In this minigame we are a tofu and we aim to survive with only a knife that has limited durability.

- The Ghost Survivors

In this other minigame we live alternate stories of characters who died in Raccon City.

The characters are Robert Kendo, owner of the gun shop that appears at the beginning of the game, Katherine, the mayor's daughter, and an Umbrella soldier named Ghost.

- In "No Time to Mourn", after his daughter's death, Robert Kendo attempts to kill himself, but is eventually surprised by a contact inviting him to flee by helicopter giving him hope of leaving Raccoon City alive. Equipped with as many Gun Shop Kendo weapons as he can carry, he will advance through the streets of Raccoon City and face hordes of zombies.

- In "Runaway" the mayor's daughter tries to escape the city, but will be chased by a new type of gun-resistant zombie that can only be killed by heavy ammunition.

- In "Forgotten Soldier" we control the soldier Ghost, a member of the U.S.S. security force from Umbrella. After his squad has been decimated and reportedly killed, he will have to escape from an underground lab full of armored monsters.
