    Scammers Trying to Get Free Games from Indie Developer With Fake Cafes

    The existence of the scammer is not nothing new to game developers. Many scammers try to get a free game from the developer directly by pretending to be a journalist or youtuber with a large number of audience. Games that they get are often taken for themselves or sold at bargain prices to a reseller's website. But the man in the name of Dmitry Tseptsov tried to present a new way for developers to get the hokey free games, by claiming he wants to promote his new game developer in the cafe.

    Jacob Janerka, developer of the game point-and-click themed surrealist - Paradigm share the experience of contact with tipunya through a long post on imgur .

    Everything starts from Dmitry Tseptsov send an email directly to Jacob with the intention of seeking steam homemade key of the game will be a giveaway to its customers. In return, he will promote his coffee cafe Pradigm in a newly built 3 weeks - Boroda Drink.

    Dmitry send a collection of photos to prove if the business does exist and he has done another game giveaway ever. At first Jacob is still ignore the email, but after being sent a second email where this time he gave the official link of the cafe, Jacob began teryakini but not 100% trust.

    Jacob began to do a little research would have the truth Boroda Dmitry Drink this. Starting from Goggle Maps, Jacob tried to find where the cafe Dmitry based on the address written. The result? The cafe was not found at all. After digging deeper, Jacob eventually find Boroda Drink exists in Ukraine and even has its own Instagram page. However, the truth began to unfold. The pictures on Twitter "official" mentioned Dmitry turned out to be stolen directly from the page Instagram from Boroda Drink original and also Boroda Drink has been built since July 2016, which is where the email Dmitry mentioned if such cafes is newly built 3 weeks ago.

In the same post Jacob admit if he would prefer the game plowed rather than stolen by people such as Dmitry. Plows least has the potential to buy the game or perhaps support the game in other ways. Scammers come up with losses only for the developers because they do not get any profit.

     

    Having caught a scammer, Dmitry never again respond to emails from Jacob and Twitter pages that were previously mentioned in the email has now been removed.
