    Review: Nono Islands

    Nono Islands can be called an ideal summer game for mobile platforms. Exotic islands with Aboriginal masks, similar to Indiana Jones, the main character, treasure maps and mountains of gold - this and much more is decorated in bright colors and looks very pretty. And although the game looks like Temple Run , the projects do not have anything in common.

    The player chooses the gender of his hero and immediately faces a small maze of islets and traps. To make a step forward, you need to click on the screen, and to rotate - to hold on it with your finger. Initially, such control seems strange and ridiculous, but later it turns out that such a step-by-step puzzle works perfectly. And let the first attempts to achieve success lead to ridiculous deaths, very soon you get used to what is happening. 

    The islets here are different from each other: yellow and gray are often possible to get up without fear, red means that there is a danger nearby, and there are platforms that move in different directions. Drowning, being eaten by spiders, jumping on spears that come out of the earth and doing other stupid things is simple, if not attentive.

    The game literally forces you to be extremely concentrated and think through all your moves. Each world here is divided into six locations with one more central, opening up for the collection of all fragments of the treasure map. Starting from the first level, the user must reach the sixth alive and healthy, and if he dies, everything starts from the very beginning of the world. This can be avoided by putting a "checkpoint" at the beginning of one of the locations so that in case of which it is not so far to return. But there are too few of them, and they do not give out so often.

    System, we will be honest, absurd. Especially if you consider how easy it is to get confused and press not where you want to, without the possibility of canceling the action. I clicked on the screen more than once; turned in the wrong direction; the game misunderstood the desire of the player to step back, instead of which he went ahead and fell. There are not many such situations, but if one such mistake erases progress and forces you to return to the beginning, it will not be very pleasant.

    Of course, you can buy all these "checkpoints" and do not think about them once again. And then the question arises: does Nono Islands pull a paid game and do you need to spend money at all? Yes and no, respectively. No matter how stupid the system, with the correct and reasonable use of control points (for example, only at the beginning of the fourth level in each world) you can survive their deficit. Purchase of the version without restrictions will cost 169 rubles - not too much for a quality and exciting game, which will surely continue to add new content.

    The levels here are a few dozen, and probably for some time many of them want to pereproit for additional bonuses. For example, the above-mentioned fragments of the treasure map, as well as pieces of totems, resulting in small statues that adorn the islands. Of course, I would like a little more of the collection items, but in this case the structure of the levels would become much more complicated. And they are without this in the later stages are becoming more and more extensive.

    Bouncing skulls are added to aborigines and water sharks emerging from the water. Then the monkeys try to flatten the traveler with their paws. Spiders kill it with one bite, octopuses are covered with giant tentacles, but the turtles carry it on their backs from one platform to another - although someone here does not try to kill the main character. All this is so bright, fun and cheerful that death by mistake often does not even cause irritation. If, of course, you do not have to spend another half an hour after it to pereprokhozhdenie.

    The game tries to get the user to reach the finish as soon as possible with the help of a timer flashing at the top of the screen. The author of these lines very often tried to complete the passage, so as not to lose a second and beat his own record, but very often it ended in failure. No matter how you become accustomed to management, you will not be able to become a "professional" here very quickly, so we do not recommend rushing to readers - there will not be any additional gifts in the game, for how many seconds the levels go.

    Nono Islands proved to be an original and rather complex tactical platformer. If such a combination of words you see for the first time, the game is definitely worth a try - it's an unusual project, at the same time, qualitatively performed. True, the model of its distribution is a bit strange, but it's not absurd to accustom it to paying for good games to users. The rest just need to quickly get used to the management and not perish by mistake many times - then no one will give money.
