The fastest way to get XP is to be patient (do not spam) and active (post comments). There is no secret. The point of the experience system is to have you be a part of the gamehag community for a little while. So strive to just take your time, be polite and constructive.

Commenting in threads, making some yourself.

apart from getting an initial boost of some soul gems for leveling up, are there any other benefits of gaining xp?

talking on form give you some extra xp and i think that playing games can give you too
