Your favourite gun?

The AK is perfect for every situation.

If I were asked this question a year ago when I was just starting to play CS:GO, I would have said without a doubt the AWP is my favorite because it one shots enemies and it is easy to use. Just point and click. At that time, the AWP was the only gun I was really good with. Everything else was just spray and pray. I never understood why people liked the AK when it was so inaccurate and difficult to use.

However, with more experience and more practice, I got better with the common weapons including the AK and the M4. The guns that I used to call ‘inaccurate’ became extremely easy to use and predictable. Where I would previously just spray and hope to hit an enemy, I can now tap enemies one time in the head for an instant kill. The AK is the most versatile gun in CS:GO capable of taking enemies out at long ranges and medium ranges while still proving to be difficult to beat at close ranges. With 30 rounds in a magazine, the AK provides easily enough bullets to take out the whole enemy team without having to reload.

While jumping or running with the AK are out of the question, any good player will be able to stop and shoot accurately when needed. The AK is cheap and powerful making it easily the best “bang for your buck” weapon.

The other gun that could compete to be my favorite is none other than the UMP. The UMP is a cheap SMG that has accuracy and power that could rival any of the rifles! I’ve often heard people refer to the UMP as a rifle in disguise. While the UMP only has 25 bullets in a magazine, it makes up for it in versatility! The UMP is still accurate at close ranges when jumping or moving. This makes it a feasible strategy to run and jump around corners to surprise enemies.

While the AK is my favorite weapon, the UMP will always hold a place in my heart
