I'm sure I commented here before but seems it got removed. I'm not trying to advertise, just answer the question with legal options rather than piracy.

- Steam was already mentioned here which you can occasionally claim paid games for free for a limited time
- Indiegala has a freebies section in which you can claim DRM-free games which are usually paid
- Epic Games has weekly giveaways where you can claim a usually paid game for free
- If you have Windows 10, there are also frequent giveaways on the Microsoft store
- Itch.io also has a large selection of free games, some are time limited giveaways and others are `pay what you want`, but you don't have to pay anything.
