Personally I just try to make a few comments and threads each day, the xp goes up slowly. Apparently some tasks also give xp, but I haven't got any from tasks yet. There's a limit to how much xp you can get from comments, I think it's 5 per day.
The tasks are always the best way, think the limit is 100 experience though so you won't be reaching high levels immediately for doing the largest tasks.
I'm swiping xp by answering xp to different discussions, you can skip 1 level per day
been active can give you xp, keep grinding
