MaxT2116: if it's a steam key you can use steam db, search the game's name, go to the packages section and it shows below when they gave out game keys

MaxT2116: it's already happened to me, they don't take responsibility for that at all, you have to for sure search on the internet where keys were given and if they had region restriction
