Eight of the best teams in Europe and CIS will play this weekend, May 15-17 in the $1,5000,000 Gamers Without Borders charity tournament. They will be joined for remote casting and hosting by some of the most beloved casters and streamers, in what is shaping to be a tournament not to be missed.
OG, Team Liquid, Team Secret, Nigma, Alliance, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Virtus.pro and Natus Vincere will play in a single elimination, best of three games format. The Gamers Without Borders Dota 2 competition is part of a larger International Elite tournament, held across multiple game titles, with a total fund of $10,000,000 going to international charities fighting on the front-line against the spread of coronavirus. The winners of each tournament will be able to choose which COVID-19 charity organization the money will go.
The tournament remote hosts feature Alliance and OG streamers Henrik “AdmiralBulldog” Ahnberg, and “Gorgc” Stefanovski respectively, and will witness the return of Ted “PyrionFlax” Forsyth and Shane “Shaneomad” Clarke. The commentary will be provided in English, Russian, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic on the Gamers Without Borders Twitch.tv channels and in Chinese on Huya.
For the English broadcast, the organizers brought some of the best, and this will also mark the Filipino beloved host Eri Neeman’s debut as a commentator. It will be interesting to see with whom he pairs with for duo casting and which role he will assume. Eri has recently started to stream regularly his Dota 2 sessions and he is for now into learning support heroes.
