Battle Trophys and Login rewards

So, we all know that the x2 daily reward system got replaced by the combined login-reward and post-battle random roulette system. And it's been a while now, so everyone has had a chance to try it out (I'm currently doing a 14 day test of the new combined system to evaluate its merits and shortcomings, you can view my progress here). So what are your thoughts on the new system compared to the old? Do you like it or not? And why do or don't you like it?
