Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment. It is the fourth game in the Counter-Strike series and was released for Windows, OS X, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in August 2012, while the Linux version was released in 2014. The game pits two teams against each other: the Terrorists and the Counter-Terrorists. Both sides are tasked with eliminating the other while also completing separate objectives. The Terrorists, depending on the game mode, must either plant the bomb or defend the hostages, while the Counter-Terrorists must either prevent the bomb from being planted, defuse the bomb, or rescue the hostages. There are nine game modes, all of which have distinct characteristics specific to that mode. The game also has matchmaking support that allows players to play on dedicated Valve servers, as well as allowing members of the community to host their own servers with custom maps and game modes. A battle-royale game-mode, "Danger Zone", was introduced in 2018. Global Offensive received positive reviews from critics on release, who praised for its gameplay and faithfulness to predecessors, though it was criticized for some of its early features and was noted for differences between the console and PC versions. Since its release, it has drawn in an estimated 11 million players per month, and has gathered an active competitive scene, with many tournaments sponsored by Valve themselves. In December 2018, Valve transitioned the game to a free-to-play model, focusing on revenue from cosmetic items
mokes and flashes are arguably one of the most key aspects of CS:GO. Not only do they assist with holding off sites on T side but they also aid you and your team when trying to take sites as part of the CT’s. Smokes are often extremely important to be able to cut off any known holding positions on a map to avoid getting killed when attempting to enter a site to plant the bomb. This makes it extremely important to know where to throw them for each map and to be ready for any proper executions needed by your team. In this tutorial I'll show you the best way to train your nade spots using a few simple commands. Starting the game: First off ensure you have the developer console enabled in your game settings and start up an offline game with no bots by going to Play and then selecting Offline With Bots from the drop down menu. From there select the map you want to practice on and tick the no bots option when asked for the bot difficulty. When you’re ready to start press Go and wait to load into the server. From the image below you can see that I have selected overpass as the map to practice with the no bots option selected. Server Menu - No Bots and Map Selection Server Commands: Once loaded into the game, open up the developer console using ~ (or a custom key if you’ve set one) and enter the following commands – sv_cheats 1 sv_infinite_ammo 1 sv_grenade_trajectory 1 sv_grenade_trajectory_dash 1 mp_roundtime 60 mp_roundtime_defuse 60 mp_restartgame 1 give weapon_hegrenade give weapon_flashbang give weapon_smokegrenade What these commands allow you to do is enable infinite ammo so you’re not limited to just one grenade, set the round timer to 60 minutes to ensure you have enough time to practice and allow you to see where your grenades are thrown / land with the use of trajectory lines and impact boxes. Console View of Commands Automated Server Configuration with a .cfg file: If entering these commands is too tiring for you there is an easier way. Navigate to your CS:GO config folder (Usually C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg) and create a new file named practice.cfg Enter the commands shown above into this file and save it. Once again start up a game with no bots and the map of your choice only this time instead of entering the commands one by one in console, enter “exec practice” without the quotations. This loads everything you have added to that file making it easier and quicker for you to get practicing. Using this method however will require you to buy grenades at the start of the round as that’s not automated. You can find my practice config here. Automated Console Config Once you’ve got everything set you should now be able to start practicing! Every time a grenade, smoke or flashbang is throw, it leaves a trail behind showing the trajectory of the grenade and also bounce markers which show where the grenade has landed or bounced to ensure you can practice on getting them right every time. To follow the trajectory line or to see where your smoke lands simply type noclip into console enabling you to fly around the map and follow the nades. To practice against bots simply type bot_add t or bot_add ct (depending on which side you’re on) and then bot_place to position the bot in front of where you're standing. Nade View 1 Nade2 Thats it! You're now well on your way to being the top of your team. With the help of the map guides throughout the rest of the website this should assist you even further with becoming familiar to holding and taking sites and being able to throw smokes and nades you never knew were possible!
Mirage is an extremely popular map throughout the CS:GO community, not only in the pro scene but also in pugs and matchmaking. Mirage boasts some extremely helpful spots for the CT's when trying to hold and retake a site, and due to this it's extremely balanced on either side, helping to keep an even score line and not a washout like other maps such as Nuke. Being able to smoke and hold a site is crucial, not only to Mirage but any CS:GO map. Knowing where to position yourself and your crosshair will make that hold and retake just a tiny bit easier as you can throw your smokes quickly and smoothly every time allowing for a faster gameplay and the ability to start shooting the enemy team quicker! Most of the CT smokes are fairly simple so let's get straight into it. Simple default hold - This is a simple hold which can be used as a default on either eco rounds or buy rounds. It provides visibility over the entire map to ensure you know where the enemy team is coming from and also allows your team to smoke off key points with ease. Player 1 - Sits around B apartments to spot any rushes and can easily smoke off any area on the B site. Player 2 - Also goes to the B site and can sit either behind chair or in the shop. From chair you are able to spot short and smoke it off, while from shop, you can spot apartments and short as well. I personally prefer sitting in shop as it's the most beneficial viewing position to spot the enemies. Player 3 - Awps down mid and is able to watch for a mid rush to either B short or through mid to A. This player can also be used as a fast rotator due to his position being extremely close to both sites on the map. If the middle player does happen to get killed, it also makes it easy to spot where the opposition is going from the death cam and allow an A player to rotate around. Player 4 - Sits on A stairs with the ability to see palace and A ramp for pushes through smoke or just watch those areas in general. Also an ideal position to rotate to mid if the need arises to kill enemies trying to go mid to A or if the middle player dies. Player 5 - Also sits on A site providing support to player 4, while also spotting A ramp and the ability to watch mid / short B.
Objectives When you start doing matchmaking, even if you're not a high rank, always keep yourself motivated by keeping tabs of your score or objectives. Regardless of rank, your primary (and perhaps only) objective every game should be to get better at the game. This does not mean your objective is to "rank up" or your objective is to win that game, it simply means your objective is to get better. While rank might be the only truly measurable system in which you can definitively say whether the matchmaking system thinks you're better or worse, in reality you should be able to tell when you're improving, you shouldn't need a dumb little icon to do it for you. Let's say you're at a 0 / 0 / 6 score but you planted / defused a couple of bombs and you have the same score as a guy that is 3 / 0 / 0, that should mean you're on the right path, never think that if you have a bad score or if you're not top fragging for the team you're not good, because CSGO is not only about fragging, it's about objective controls, the people that control the site / vision of site / vision of the bomb will always have a big advantage. Always keep in mind when you're in Matchmaking that Objectives are over Kills. Let's say you're a Counter-Terrorist and you have the bomb near you, don't leave it there and go hunt the people left, defend the dropped bomb, eventually a Terrorist will come to pick it up. Or as a Terrorist it's not always about the Rushes into certain sites, you can wait till 0:35 - 0:25 to storm a site but we'll get to this in another guide I'll be doing soon. Motivation Also a big and important role is to help out the team and keep them motivated. Let's say you're in a losing spree of 3 - 4 rounds, motivate them, tell them something good like guys pull it together we can win this. Morale is a very important thing especially when you're trying to win games at your own skill level. Don't get distracted by people who blame each other, motivate them by pointing out certain location on the map where they should move / keep. If they can't hold / attack a site, try something else, change something in their playstyle it always helps. Motivate Some people can't stand washed out colors. I recommend play only at evening/night in dark room. It is not best for human eye probably but it makes the game look way more saturated because in daytime all colors in rooms are more saturated than the game. Motivate them in talking with each other and giving information when they see the bomb carrier or when they see a CT off position, even when they die every piece of information is important and could mean a round won. Don't play if you are angry - you will rush, die and then, you will be even more angry. Communicate Team Play Help your team by donating weapons, if you have a large amount of cash and they are kind of low, buy a teammate a weapon, even if you don't know him. He can win the round for you with that weapon, greed is not a good thing in CSGO. Don’t jump to conclusions about hit reg and hackers. MM has an epidemic of people who lose pistol round and instantly begin to complain about crappy 64 tick servers and hackers on the other team. Is it possible they just got a lucky shot on you or have better aim? Absolutely. The only thing complaining like this does is put your team in a bad mindset. Hold off on the hacking accusations and hit reg complaints. If you think they are hacking, report them and let overwatch do it’s job. Some people don't have a mic to communicate so encourage them to use the ingame radio, it always helps when you hear "I need Backup", "Spotted the bomb carrier" or " Sector Clear". Buy as a team. Get in the simple habit of pressing tab at the end and beginning of the round and checking your teams economy. Too many times someone is unaware of their teammates and buys an AWP when everyone else has $2,400. Don’t be “that guy”. Just press tab and talk with your team about who is buying what.
you know what i mean i also know what you mean so do it do comment here
