Original Travian was one of the first games in the city building war games, where you build a city with predefined buildings, and higher-level buildings take more time to be built. Basically, this game got a war game pretty soon and the best strategies involve a lot of actions towards other players, so raiding them.

Unfortunately nearly all games, Travian included, in this genre are Free to Play, which leads that those games are usually Pay2Win. So in principle great idea and good gameplay, but usually this kind of games doesn't work as a way that you buy the game and then play, but you need to do multiple micro transactions to win (in addition to playing well, including eg. spreadsheet calls for best options and when to be online).

So if the theme and genre match, Travian is a good choice within that theme. From newer games, City of Survivals is similar (and there are also SG offers for that currently here in Gamehag).

About this Travian Kingdoms I am not sure how similar or different it is to the original game. Apparently this version is mobile version.
