New French Heavies

Has anyone tried/(looked at the) new French heavies? I have and notice a few things.. The new tier 10 French heavy offers a choice of two guns... Is this something new WarGaming is trying? A choice of options/features at tier 10. I thought tier 10 vehicles didn't offer selections. Did anyone else notice that the stock turret on the tier 8 French heavy offers better depression(-10) and better amour than its upgrade? The upgraded turret offers slightly better view and traverse. I think I'll stick with stock turret because you can't train your crew for better gun depression or better amour.
