The game is really good has endless amount of content and I like the whole your items set your character so you can switch classes just by switching armor and weapons. The movement and abilities are just like a moba like league of legends, dota and so on. But the big thing i like is how big the skill tree is as well as the fact you can do all the MMO things and then some. You can craft a bunch of gear which is done darn well from what i remember join guilds, do dungeons and all that standard stuff as well as pvp quite frankly i can go on all day and I'm not even a big time player if you like simple mmo's that have a large ton of diversity its a darn good time waster to boot.
A little late and already answered well by others but thought I would chime in. The game does have anticheat don't remember the name it's not the "best" but also not the "worst". It's alright I didn't have too many problems with cheaters when I played at least and even if you do run into them there usually pretty stupid and pretty easy to pub stomp since there hacking in a free to play shooter.
Riven is the go to choice as while both have a high skill ceiling rivens never ends you can always learn new things. Even people like boxbox and adrians riven and other big name riven players find new tricks with her all the time. Other reason I say this both are feast or famine champions and riven doesn't feast as hard as yasuo does in a bad game since she has tools to play from behind with.
I'd say go for it while i can't give rune and item suggestions as I think she still takes support runes as far as meta goes. However she does build adc items and plays like a ad and a support at the same time. So if your good at adc and want a support to fill that roll its the best and only pick just like pyke being the best for assassin players stuck playing support.
Orginally it was Swain before his rework like the new looks and theme just not the new kit. So now I would have to say my favorite champion as far as gameplay goes is Lissandra and maybe Ivern. Though my favorite champion in general would either have to go to Tristana or the new champion Gwen.
