In my opinion it's thanks to two factors:
One thing is that the game would be shoved in your face in almost every youtube video back in the day, people would want to watch some content and then you get hit with: "Today's video is sponsored by Raid Shadow Legends, one of the biggest mobile role-playing games of 2019 and it's totally free!..."

Another thing is the fact that this game is basically a cash grab simulator, there are so many micro transaction pop-ups that it takes a good minute for you to go through them in the game. And don't even get me starting on what happens when you run out of energy or resources - you'll get a pop-up straight in your face.

Theres hate because its almost everywhere. Seeing it once or twice is fine and if it pops up once in a while it would be fine. however there was a time where most youtubers would just be sponsered and it appeared really annoying as it was wayy too "in your face".

Also the ads aren't exactly true theres a bunch of videos explaining this topic if ur interested.
