My comments on threads are getting deleted

My comments on threads are getting deleted with the xp for each one, my comments were helpful and well written why did this happen to me ?

If it's on a spam thread and the thread is deleted, the comments and XP will go along with it. Avoid making short comments or commenting on a spam thread to not have that happen.

I had issues recently with my comments and threads being deleted. I do not post spam comments and one of my threads that got removed was a suggestion for the site.

I don't know, gamehag is a pretty buggy place, my xp keeps going down

I'm facing the same problem here. My comments keep getting deleted even though it's not spam, and so is my XP being deleted.

Honestly, I'm not sure how long your comments have to be so they can remain the way they are without you losing any XP
but I would say at least a line?

I think it is because you wrote too short or maybe you weren't specific about something. Maybe you need more than one line.

Good question. I don't think it's about the number of lines, but it varies.

I've experienced a couple of times that although I write a comment which contributes to the thread's discussion, it gets downvoted and removed. Why? I can't really answer that.

Maybe it's caused by someone who has had a bad day?

I honestly feel like people mark too many things as spam, they pretty much dislike and report any comment they see that's about 2 or less lines long. There's nothing you can really do about this, just keep trying to be helpful, and maybe be a bit more detailed, as this will help you not get your comments marked.

I see that both your and my comments have been downvoted, although we both have contributed something to the thread, and have written more than 2 sentences long.

But like you said, there's nothing else we both can do, other than moving on and be helpful as much as we can. "Haters gonna hate" anyway.

I mean people find reporting as an easy way to gain xp, It's either the mods are too lazy to check if the comments are acutally spam, or there are too many people reporting everything so it makes it hard for the mods to decide so they either ping them all as spam or they ignore them.
If there's something that can be done to solve the problem is to remove the dislike button and to punish those who spam the report button.

Dislikes don't have anything to do with reporting. You also don't get XP for reporting someone. You only get 1SG per "True" report. "False" reports might get YOU (the person reporting) flagged and future reports might not be taken into account, or if you keep doing it, you might even get banned as far as I heard from a couple of the moderators from here.
