this game is clearly some kind of immortal.

ya i see people still playing it and i play it too sometimes when i get tired to other games i come back to this game

Obviously it would be alive when it has a big corporation behind it that constantly brings updates to it, even if they may not be in the best interests of the people

no its the game mechanic and game logic that makes it alive until now.

valve doesnt do much, its the community that makes it more alive...and it has become F2P , more new user will come (as well as hackers)
