Does connecting to a public wifi make you banned?

Why would it get you banned? You might get banned if you use VPN to disguise your location, but as long as you stay in the same country, there shouldn't be any problem

I'm asking since some third party sites have this kind of procedure. I'm just making sure so that I won't be wasting my hard earned soul gems

connecting to public wifi is not a good idea in general(sorta depends on where you are), but i havent heard anything about gamehag monitoring if you connect to a public network.
