For those of you who haven't played Thief yet, here's a review that might convince you to take a look at.

The Thief series began in 1998, with the release of the title Thief: The Dark Project by Looking Glass Technologies, and in 2014 Master Garrett made his last appearance. Ten years after the last release of a title for this series(in 2004), Eidos Interactive has created a reboot for the series, with a new version of Garrett and his native city, as well as a series of new adventures for him and his "sticky hands".

With a high degree in terms of customization of the interface and game mechanics, in addition to the many ways to complete missions, the new Thief seems to be a great return of the series. But did he manage to arouse the full interest of both those who could and those who enjoyed playing the first games of the series and for those fresh in the series?

The story of the game thus receives a restart at its origin, introducing a darker version of the game's protagonist, Garrett. The game starts with him exploring his hometown, looking for a job. But after a series of mysterious events, he wakes up a year later that he is brought back to the city, now one full of disease and misery, a disease called Gloom affecting the population, wich is led with an iron fist by the Baron and the guards, who are very aggressive, which inspires terror in the inhabitants.

Garrett has to find out what happened to his city, all while performing various missions (stealing precious objects) in the hope that he will shed the light back on the city and manage to releave the inhabitants of this deadly disease. The story is quite interesting, Garret shining until now as a hero, full of spirit and intelligent observations, making it a man worthy of modeling by the players, whose style will be created by you, through the actions chosen.

Thief retains the basic mechanics of the series, jumping in sequences to the third person only at certain times, such as climbing, being able to see what's around you with great ease. Apart from these moments, you are constantly in the thief master's shoes, guiding him through new missions at will. You can steal all kinds of objects, from multiple locations, you can even try to steal from safes, boxes of valuables or the wonder of keeping valuables. Pick-pocket is also present, although you have to pay more attention to what surrounds you.

You will also have more difficult features to solve in the game, such as opening the lockboxes of some of the most important characters in the game, they have more complicated and sometimes annoying puzzles for the impatient ones, and solving them sometimes involves mistakes until you’ve found the combination needed to open it. In addition to his own hands, Garrett can also use a variety of weapons, the most impressive being his bow, which can be equipped with different types of arrows, from the normal ones to those with a small "trick", so to say, either with fire or water for example.

However, the system by which it chooses which type of arrow to use is a little strange at first, requiring a period of accommodation with it to use it quickly and efficiently when you need a certain arrow while being engaged in a fight. Of course, Garrett is a thief, not a fighter, but he can handle both situations very effectively. You can take down the enemy in multiple ways, either by tackling a quieter situation, and by surpriseing the victim with a back attack, or by beating him with equal chances of winning, at least that's what he would believe.

All combat situations can be avoided by choosing a hidden approach, with a lot of patience and quick but quiet steps, gaining the "Ghost" rating at the end of the mission, for the stealth approach. The enemies are quite intelligent and attentive to what surrounds them, depending on their degree of alertness and whether they are alone or with one or more partners. Take care of birds, dogs or other animals that can reveal your hidden presence, momnt when you are forced to improvise on the move.

Improving your skills is also crucial, with the option of improving tools, or enhancing increased vision, which allows Garrett to look more closely at some of the victim's objects or things. The game has a multitude of options in the game, for both the game mechanics and the game HUD. Thus, you can stop or start different helper panels, or you can even stop them all, even displaying the target, for real hardcore players having the opportunity to play with one life.

Once you complete the story's single-player campaign, you can get involved in Challenge mode, which gives you an additional experience through the Chain & Gain or Hot and Cold modes, which direct you to the object you are looking for. I can say that the game has as little of what each fan of the series wants, one of me being able to impress with all its mechanics and suspense experienced at times, managing to play as stealthily as possible, avoiding fights as much as possible, but of course, some birds often blowing my cover.

Thief is a pretty good title, taking advantage of the advancement of the hardware technology it has run, running in maximum detail, which has given us a superb visual experience, demanding a bit dark at times due to the weather and late hours. There are some small moments when you use the zoom to get closer to a character in the game, it looks more like a metal man, at least so I could characterize it, but it is not a huge problem, being noticed by few times. As far as sounds are concerned, the soundtrack of the game is good, sometimes the volume fluctuating and bothering you a little. You have a lot of dialogues, which the characters around you maintain with other characters, such as citizens of the city or guardians, giving you even information about the surroundings.

That said, Thief is a well-deserved return of the game, providing an experience worthy of it. With a possibility of multiple approaches to missions, the hundreds of optimizations and possible customizations, all combined with the visual effects, especially those at dusk, will surely delight both old fans of the series as well as the new ones. The small problems will go unnoticed, the AI doing great in most cases and providing a remarkable stealth experience.

Post apocalyptic wasteland, giant crabs, spiders, scorpions... You know what that is, right?

Do you remember Krush Kill 'N Destroy?

It is one of the rough diamonds of the 90s, a game that was launched in 1997, and the Extreme expansion came later that year.

The story of the game is set in the post apocalyptic near future, in which the world is divided between two factions: Survivors and Evolved. The first are what is left of the civilized world and are based on tanks, mostly conventional weapons, and the others use mutant animals and insects, along with monstertrucks and elephants.

I really liked the game when I first played it because it was so simple and had a graphic that (at that time and age) fascinated me and reminded me of Mad Max. The Evolved buildings looked exactly as you imagined they would look, like scraps of debris giving the idea of a building. Oil rigs seemed unfinished, there were huge animal skulls and ribs that made up the main base, watch towers made of elephant tusks and so on.

Survivors on the other hand offered the hope that the world would go ahead. Their buildings were clean, perfect, they didn't feel like they could crash at any moment, the soldiers were in uniform, the cars were not made of scrap iron, and the defense towers were not soldiers in a crow's nest made of elephant tusks, waiting to be blasted away by a rocket. They were high-tech.

Another aspect that I liked very much was the ground on which craters were left behind after rockets and explosions droped. At that time, it was satisfying.

I played this game for a long time without getting bored, on only a few maps, because back then I had no internet, and what I got with the game was all I had to play with. But it didn't feel bad, the maps were well crafted, themed from city to forest and to the desert. It was very addictive to discover a ruined city and walk with tanks through it to the army of spiders and mutant scorpions that you didn't know where it was.

After you finished the upgrades you would reach the "ultimate", which in this case was an atomic weapon, capable of destroying much of the enemy base. I rarely used it because it seemed overpowered and I preferred a classic ground attack.

The game was an inspiration for other titles that followed and not in a bad way, because they were the titles we all know: Command & Conquer, Warcraft, Age of Empires. I'm not saying KKND was copied, but it is included in these titles as a piece of DNA.

At the time of writing this article, the game is on GOG, at the price of € 1.59, reduced from € 5.29 (-70%). And let's not forget who produced it, Beam Software.

Thank you guys for a game I haven't forgotten for so many years.

This game is quite fun if you pay attention to the enviroment and can put your crosshair over enemies.

My favourite one is bronze deco. Classic touch.

PC one is better. Mobile can be played on PC with an emulator and like that, the person has a huge advantage wich is not fair, so, being exploitable makes it a bad game and port.

After reading through the comment section of different games on the site, it came to my attention that some people have different issues with the game tasks submission procedure. So, without further ado, let’s see how we submit the screenshots right.

First of all, keep in mind that the Gamehag’s account name and the game’s account you decide to play must have or resemble the same name. For example, my Gamehag account is Caius011, so my name in-game must be also Caius011. If not, let’s say it’s taken, then i’ll create my name in-game something like Caius012 or Caius013, so that just a character in the name is different.

Next up let’s say you decided to do the tasks for War Thunder and I’m not choosing it for nothing, it has the same developer as Crossout, but we’ll get back to that in a second.

You select the game from “Get more” – “Games” dropmenu in the upper left corner of the screen on Gamehag.com. Then you click on War Thunder and click on “Play for free”. Each time you play a game to complete tasks for it you have to start fresh. That means you must register with an e-mail address that was not used before to play War Thunder or any other game from Gaijin.

After all that was done, it’s time to jump into the game and win some fights or whatever the first task asks you to. Good, first task is complete. You take a screenshot of it. For educational purpose, after you find the in-game area that shows the number of victories on your account, you press print screen button on your keyboard, create a new bitmap image on desktop, open it with paint and press ctrl+v. That should fill the screen with the screenshot. Now, from the paint drop down menu select “save as” then “jpeg image”, give it a name and that’s it.

Now we get back to Gamehag.com, on the War Thunder or what game you decided to play and click on the first task of the game and click on “complete”. It will ask you to drop the screenshot you took earlier in the designated rectangle. Simply drag the jpeg image from your desktop and you wait for the confirmation from the site. Most likely, if everything was done properly, the task will be accepted and you can continue to the second and third task, where the completion method is the same.

What if we want to complete the tasks for Crossout now? It’s from the same developer, Gaijin. So we click on “play for free” and upon installation, in the account creation we input a new e-mail address, not the one we played War Thunder on. And of course, the in-game name will have to be different, in my case Caius011 that’s the name of the gamehag account was taken because I’ve used it in War Thunder, so now I’ll have to choose a new one, like Caius012.

Let’s say that I’ve completed the first task for Crossout now. I send the screenshot but, as the rules on Gamehag specify, in-game name and Gamehag.com names should be the same or close. If the task gets rejected it could only mean that the software couldn’t see Caius011 in the screenshot, but Caius012 and didn’t take into consideration.

In that case we have to open a ticket, but as it is automated, it will request you to take another screenshot and send it again. You can do that and it might work, but the other way around is to contact the team behind Gamehag.com in a different approach. As it was stated by an user whose comment I can’t find right now to credit him for, you talk to Misty, select “I want to tell you something...”, then “I have an idea for new functions on Gamehag.”, then you report your problem in a decent and fully explained way.

As a conclusion:

1. Always check that the e-mail you want to use was not attributed to the game before
2. Have the in-game name identical or very close to the one on Gamehag.com
3. Read carefully the task requirements
4. Be nice to the staff, they want to help you also

Command & Conquer was one of the first strategy games I played, alongside Age of Empires, Starcraft and Warcraft, but by far my favorite. The news that I will detail below I hope to make you happy too.
