    Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Review

Look. I don't like this game.

Really, I don't. However, the overall negativity towards the game has become toxic at this point. Let a man have their fucking opinion on a game. When Max has to actually be afraid of being excited over this because he's worried he'll get shit for it, that is when you take a step back and reevaluate why you don't like this game. He isn't being a shill, he's genuinely excited cause he enjoys the gameplay. Agree to disagree, god damn. I (finally) learned my lesson not to buy fighting games until the "definitive" edition releases.

If only the models are in the game, it means the animation data, hit box data, hurt box data, damage and health values, opponent AI behaviors, and every other piece of code, in addition to VFX, sound effects, voice acting, and written dialogue lines, are not. Which is everything else that actually makes the character. The model isn't even half of the actual content that goes into making an actual character. On top of that, there are UI/HUD images for characters, altered images and animations for menus, options, the character select screen, as well as cutscene images/video (like character intros/endings). And all of that has to be coded as well. And before we get to any of that, the gameplay for said character, has to be planned beforehand, and tweaked and balanced against the entire rest of the cast. Having a model in the game doesn't automatically make all of that happen on its own. Everything has to be created beforehand, and usually during (things change on the fly all the time). If any of that is missing then the character isn't complete. Obviously, if the vast majority of the content is there, then it's a different story. But just having a model in the game, or even saying that there are six DLC characters coming after release, doesn't make it day one DLC, or a scam, because you'll be paying for everything els.

I love mixups of games, but they usually end up in a Tekken-like game like this, just like Dissidia Final Fantasy. It's good, but gameplay gets boring quickly.

The game isn't anything amazing. Friends say they love it, but personally I think they just have poor taste.
