Overview

The esprit games development company published Dragon Lord. It is a free-to-play browser-based MMO with an extensive fanbase and a high fantasy concept.

Gameplay

Due to the heat needed in the incubation process, dragons require both time and money to hatch, thus the player must also utilise their adult dragons to make money by terrorising the nearby communities and collecting taxes while looking for the amulet parts. The user may also spend money on ingredients to make potions that can boost a dragon's power, whether it is hatched or still in the egg, or the output and contentment of the villages they rule.

If they decide to assume manual control of the dragon during its raids, the player may also engage in an action mini-game. These vertically scrolling shoot 'em ups play similarly to Namco's Dragon Spirit, except the player's dragon will perish if it sustains too much damage. The amount of aggression the dragon employs depends on whether the user wants the CPU to manage it or not; the greater the level, the more damage the dragon does, but it also increases the likelihood that it will perish.

Dragons can be slain by roving barbarians or by absorbing too much damage from raiding runs, which can deal the player a severe financial loss and force them to leave the game. When one of the three players discovers the entire amulet and makes it up the mountain or when all three are unable to continue, the game is over.

Story

The territories where you live are plagued by turmoil and carnage caused by the Lord of the Dark Dragons. Work to restore your slain dragon buddy who gave the last of her strength to assist temporarily exile the Lord of the Dark Dragons while also recruiting, levelling up, and training powerful heroes to aid you in your battle with your enemies.

Battle rating. The primary measure of a character's fighting ability is their BR (battle rating), which is represented by a numerical figure. There are several techniques to raise this value, the major ones being:

- Strengthening the heroes who battle beside the player.
- Enhancing character gear
- Developing the dragon and the horse
- Inlaid runes and a variety of additional opportunities that will arise as the character advances.


Energy replenishment (Daily Strength). When a character performs game actions, their power is depleted. When it falls to zero (or a low enough amount), the player won't be able to do some game tasks, such completing story missions.

Group dungeons are available. The primary source of all types of improvement stones, armour components, and skill-improving scrolls is a dungeon. Although the battles won't be simple, the payoff will be worthwhile.
