Dota 2 impacted by Coronavirus concerns

Due to the rise in Coronavirus concerns around the world, Dota 2 events are taking a hit.
Many countries are putting limits on the number of people that are able to gather in one place at a time as well as cancelling all public events or issuing a request for self-isolation in light of the Coronavirus concerns. Some events were moved to being strictly online events while others were held without live audiences.
Then things started to look more serious.
Shortly after the United States President, Donald Trump, ordered a travel suspension that would limit and interfere with team movements ESL and Valve announced the ESL One Los Angeles Major was being postponed.
As events are starting to be cancelled and postponed fans are wondering how far and wide the effects will become.
For now, it seems to be limited for the next 2-4 weeks. So most things falling within this time span are going to be highly questionable. Even if the event organizers have not made any indications, some teams are being proactive in protecting their players and anyone that would come in contact with them.
For the next 30 days, teams will only be able to compete when/where there are appropriate safety measures. Online events and qualifiers should be no problem. Dota 2 fans will recognize that the fourth wave of DPC events begins just after the 30-day mark - April 23rd in Split, Croatia for the OGA Dota Pit Minor 2020.
So far there are no reasons to believe that the fourth wave of events will have any complications, but only time will tell as the world adjusts and reacts to the pandemic.
GosuGamers will continue to monitor the Dota 2 competitive landscape and report any additional cancellations or changes in the schedule. For now, sit back, enjoy the online events and qualifiers and grind that MMR. Just please don't bring toxicity into the matches, there is enough going on around outside.
