Team Fortress 2 is a game around since 2007 and has gotten much better over time.
When you first begin Team fortress 2, you have to first start playing casual mode. This is a game mode for those who have just started playing the game, and so either do not have money to spend on the game or are just playing it for practice because there are players of many skill levels there.
Once you have joined a game, you will have to pick a class, each with different weapons, speeds, and health. I usually play as a Scout, which is the fastest class in the game, but with only 125 hitpoints. He is equipped with a scattergun, which will easily kill at close range, a pistol, which is mainly used for finishing people off, and a bat, which is for melee only. These weapons deal 60, 15, and 35 damage respectively. This makes him a formidable class to face off against at close range, and also makes it so that he can get around very quickly, as well as capture control points faster.
Obviously, you might wonder: how do you win? Well, in King of the hill, which is probably the one you should start with, teams try to capture a hill, and when they have captured it for enough time they win, and this goes until one team has won twice. Scout is especially good for this type of game mode because he can capture the average control point at double the rate that other classes can.
Another great class that I like is the Spy. He has quite a few special abilities, one of them being that with his disguise kit he can make himself look like the other team so that he can get behind them and stab them in the back, which will kill any class instantly, even the heavy, who has a whopping 300 health. He can also sap buildings, which will slowly drain away their health until either the engineer who built them destroys the sapper, or it destroys the sentry gun, dispenser, or teleporter. But, if you are caught trying to kill or sap something, do not fear, because the spy has a special thing that makes him invisible for 10 seconds before it has to recharge, which makes for a quick and sneaky getaway.
The last class that I will talk about is the Soldier, who can fire rockets at people with his rocket launcher. A lot of newbies will start with him, and it is a good decision because his rockets can deal up to 135 damage a hit, which can instantly kill 4 classes, or seriously injure others. In order to counter his slow speed, he can rocket jump for just 50 out of his 200 health, making him very fast, and so he also can jump in the air and rain rockets down at the unsuspecting players below, killing them almost instantly. In addition, he has 4 rockets in a clip, making him very strong, though not very fast.
In conclusion, TF2 is an amazing game, and you should play it.
