Naughty Dog studio is well known to all people playing on PlayStation consoles. Although the company was founded in 1984, since 1996 it has been creating games exclusively for Sony consoles, as a result of being taken over by the Japanese corporation in 2001. Naughty Dog has produced such hits as the well-known and popular Crash Bandicoot series, Jak & Daxter and the saga of the fearless treasure hunter - Uncharted. However, one of the newer titles from Naughty Dog studio - The Last of Us - achieved the highest ratings and popularity.
The Last of Us was released in 2013 as an exclusive game for PlayStation 3. A few years later it also had an add-on - a prequel, and both of these titles were also released on PlayStation 4.
The Last of Us is set in the near future, 20 years after an epidemic turned most of humanity into mindless, aggressive zombies. Unlike many games with a post-apocalyptic theme, here it isn’t a virus responsible for turning people into the undead, but a deadly fungus that attacks the human brain, slowly transforming its host into a walking corpse that carries contagious spores. The plot of the game tells about the relationship between Ellie and Joel. Initially, the man was supposed to lead the girl to the other end of the vast city, to meet people who had plans for her. The joint journey, however, unexpectedly prolongs, and a touching father-daughter relationship develops between the characters.
In June 2020, the next part of The Last of Us: Part II appeared on the market. This game is set a few years after the events of the previous part and focuses on the fate of the heroes we know. In this title, however, Ellie plays the main fiddle!
