Far Cry 3 : Honest review

Have you ever played Far cry3? If you have then you know how awesome this game is! Far cry 3 open world action-adventure first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. It’s only 16.99$ on steam.

Do you like first person shooter game where you can kill people, survive in the wildlife, craft new items/guns, gain experience and learn new killing moves? Far cry 3 presents us all of these in an astounding way. Far cry 3 is set on a gorgeous looking tropical island, crawling with wildlife. The island is also full of pirates and drug runners who disrupts its peace. Jason Brody, the protagonist with his brother and friends, gets caught by Vaas who is a psycho leader of a pirate group. Jason’s evolution begins after escaping the clutches of Vaas. After seeing his brother kill someone for the first time, he trembles in fear. But Jason gradually becomes a killer from a coward later in the game. The more people Jason kills, the better murderer he becomes. The guy who was trembling in fear to see someone getting murder in front of his eyes, now has become the guy who loves murdering. After kills you gain experiences, with that experience you can learn new killing moves like chain machete executions, throwing knifes into peoples eyeball, fire pistols from ziplines etc. from The game also focuses on what would you have done if you were in this situation, How many people would you kill to save your friends? The game only becomes more emotional as the story goes on. At the end of the game you have to make a really hard decision which will impact you a lot but you can only decide what you want to do.
The game is an open-world but personally I think the game is scripted and there’s only limited freedom. Speaking of open world, there’s also many minigames that you can play to spend your time. But there’s various way of doing things, like if you want to finish a mission, you can choose your own way to complete the mission. Do you want to force your way into the enemy territory or stealthy enter and kill all the enemies or use the animal to kill the enemies? It depends on how you want to finish a mission. I usually like to just run around the enemy territory like a monkey and kill them with an assault rifle. The first hour of the game, you will be given tutorial on how to survive in the island. An interesting part of the game is to hunt down animal and craft many things. I know killing animal is brutal but don’t worry, It’s only a game. I really hate snakes and crocodile though. They come out of nowhere and gives me a jumpscare. So I really hate them. But wildlife is the thing that makes the island lively. The roads are travelled by truck and cars. The driving part is a little bit sensitive. So I am not a big fan of the driving part. But it is fun when pirates and drug dealers chase you down with trucks and cars and smash into your car. They will try to block the road and shoot you while your driving your car. There’s also motorboats or speedboats that you can use to travel in the water. I just don’t like the cars and trucks but I love the speed boat and the glider. But controlling the glider and landing is a pain. The most fun part of the game in my opinion is killing people. My favourite weapon is a bow . I don’t know why but the bow seems more modern than the gun to me. I also love the flame thrower. I can just burn down the people like wood and burning down the weed mission is my favourite mission. The music in the background makes you feel the intensity of the action packed fighting your doing. Especially in the weed burning mission where make it bun dem soundtrack kicks in is the most intense and fun mission I have ever played in my life. Also using RPG to blast the cars and boats can be fun too. But the most annoying part of the game is climbing the radio towers. It needs a little bit of parkour to climb the radio towers. I still remember when I tried to climb a radio tower when I was close to finish the game. The tower was so hard to climb it took me 1 hour but still I couldn’t climb the tower. So I gave up the tower and finished the game. But radio towers allows you to discover locations on your map for fast traveling. The game runs really smooth. I personally don’t have a good pc but still far cry 3 runs smoothly in high settings and the game looks way better than many modern games that needs high spec pc to play it.

The island your in is full of enemy outpost and your job is to scout them and conquer them. You also have camera that is a speciality of far cary3. You can use your camera to zoom in and point out how many enemies are there. Your camera lets you see your enemies through the wall and also lets you take pictures.  To capture an enemy outpost, first of all I want to use my camera to detect all the enemies and then disable all the alarms. So that my enemy can’t call for reinforcements.  Then I would want to stealthly kill some heavies first or just go in like a monkey and kill everyone. I like to use takedown a lot not just because it’s a stealth move but because it feels more badass. I don’t really use that much of C4 but I personally like to use flamethrower and rifle.
Far cry 3 has multiplayer too. Multiplayer is fast paced but its less tactical than singleplayer. Sometimes maps can be confusing and can be very challenging but still it’s fun.
Far cry 3 has some really has many beautiful things that you have never seen before but also has some really disturbing moments . Lunatic like Vaas and Hoyt makes the game more violent. The game has some slang word uses in it and some nudity. So the game is for mature people. But still Far cry 3 is one of the best game I have ever played. Far cry 3 is the best game out of all the far cry games there is. So I definitely recommend everyone to play this game but mature people only.
