Any wins count. I personally prefer Naval battles , but that's just preference. You can check your win count on your profile page, accesable from the top bar in the home screen. This stat screen is also the one you should send to Misty to prove your amount of wins.
If you mean "i did some wins and the task got rejected", the same happened to me too. You should tell Misty why you don't fall under any of the clauses in the FAQ and it should get accepted (or, at least, it helped me)
