6 years ago from today. On the date of July 8, the first episode of Virtual Reality, Gaming-World Fantasy anime Sword Art Online was released in Japan. On it's first day, Sword Art Online has garnered so much appreciation among the Japanese audiences, from hardcore anime fanatics to everyday average peeps alike. Until now, on it's third season, it is still sincerely appreciated and joyfully looked forward to from local to audiences around the world. Six video games based on the series have also been released for different consoles to play.

As of today, there is still no no signs of stopping the hype train of SAO; and loyal fans from around the globe have greatly contributed to this. Fan made art, animations, novels, and cover music are signs of this. There are also video games that are made by indie developers based on the series; and one of them is Sword Art Online's Legend (SAO's Legend).

SAO's Legend is an Action MMORPG based on Sword Art Online anime, developed by GameSprite.

Dive right into the world of Aincrad, and recreate the past events that occured in the anime. Rise to meet challenges in various instanced dungeons to obtain rare gear and become the most powerful being in the Sword Art Online universe. Recreate events that happened in the anime; namely, Slaughter of Moonlit Black Cats, Attack of Titan’s Hand, Murders in Safe Zone, Quest of Holy Sword Excalibur

SAO's Legend Key Features:

Be An SAO Character – choose between four Sword Art Online characters, each with distinct classes and skill trees.
Various Instances – from the Gear Instance to the Aincrad Instance, players pursue various dungeons, each with their own rewards.
Get a Girl Friend – earn a Girl Friend, such as the Dragon Master, who helps in combat.
Get Married – fall in love and marry another player.
Special Events – there are special events throughout the year where exclusive items are rewarded for quest/challenge/participation completions.

Become your favorite SAO Character by carefully choosing your class.

Become Kirito (Swordsman) and hack-and-slash your way through swathes of enemy mobs.
Become Shion (Ranger) and pick off your enemies one-by-one from a distance.
Become Leafa (Priest) and boost your teammate's vitality to cover where you left off.
Become Heathcliff (Knight) and buy time for your team by absorbing paramount amounts of damage.

The first thing you should check out after signing in. Daily Quests to sate your insatiable hunger for power and experience. As a true adventurer, you cannot miss this out!

Scheduled Events: Events that only occur for a short amount of time. From Wipe-outs to Boss battles and exclusive rewards to boot, to miss this out is truly wasteful.
Treasure Instance: Instances which rewards you handsomely with consumables and treasure. Never again you will have a problem with lack of items.
Gear Instance: Same with Treasure Instance, but replace treasure with powerful gears.
Team Instance: From stranger danger to friends forever. A five-man party will surely guarantee you, and your backpack, success.
Encounters: From raids(or Wipe-outs as they call it in the game) to solo Boss-fights. Proving your power and conquering legions of enemies to overpowering the bosses, your character will become more powerful than ever.
Aincrad: If your looking for a place to grind, or if you would like to continue where the first season left off, this is your place. Conquer all 100 floors and become the most powerful in Aincrad.
R-Instance: Instance with powerful rewards. Only available after reincarnation.

You can get a girlfriend and get married to a lover at the same time (Talk about Harem).
Indulge yourself in the Main Quest and complete all chapters, if you are under-leveled, the Side Quests are available to your disposal too.

Feeling tough, or just straight lucky? Head to the Arena to test your mettle! Losing is not as punishable as dying in real life like in the anime, but winning and rising higher through the ranks will reward your royalty with exclusive items.

Your loyalty shall be rewarded, and that is theoretically proven in the Benefit Hall. From Daily Sign-in to Offline EXP, the path to becoming the most powerful is greatly aided by the generosity of Kayaba Akihiko-san.

This game rewards you while being AFK through Meditation. A few minutes after you AFK, your character will meditate by itself, and a few more minutes later, your character gets extremely bored and will go to the Training Hall on its own. Very convenient, but we cannot deny the existence of Cogito Virus, so be extremely careful!
