Minecraft is a survival game- which also has a creative mode- where you play as a blocky character and almost everything in your world is blocky. It has- you can call it regular- updates, which are enhancing gameplay, fixing bugs, or adding new blocks and features. But what about Minecraft Wii U? It is still alive and it is still playable. As someone who has a Wii U and the game dunked in the console, I get to know what's happening.
Minecraft Wii U's features as of now are:
This is Minecraft Wii U's Latest Update. And it isn't planning to get any more updates. It has also missed the big mashup update where supposedly Xbox, the Switch, and the other versions, which had joined together (Meaning there would be more people online in the mini games). Wii U had missed this update due to it not handling the huge update. And this could support why it's not getting any more Minecraft updates. Other Old generation consoles have stopped getting updates too. I'll still check if it will be getting anymore updates, but those chances are very very low. When I go on to the mini games, I mostly see maybe Japanese people who have their microphones on. But I'm sure that those number of maybe Japanese people online in the mini games are getting lower and lower. There's not as much to do there. Yes, it's still fun to play, but you're kinda like missing out on the other updates. And if you try doing stuff there which are only in the newer versions, of course it wouldn't work. Some day, it may go to abyss of old console games... And it's console, to the abandoned old consoles section... In it's state right now, being looked down on by the Switch, not many people would remain there. Minecraft Wii U is dying, so is it's console. But we will miss it. The Wii U has been a console for years... So maybe it's time to say good-bye to the old game edition, and the old Nintendo console... Goodbye, Minecraft Wii U, we'll miss you. I do want a Switch, because it has new cool games, but... It doesn't have Zelda Wind Waker does it? DOES IT? (I have Wind Waker in my Wii U). I am pretty sure you could transfer the data from Minecraft Wii U to the Switch, if I ever get one I'll try it out. I'm curious to see the new features of the game because I'm not so updated on it. I don't know where this game and this console is in the popular games ranking as of now. It's probably dead... I hope it will still get some updates, but again, the chances are very very low. To all the Minecraft Wii U Edition players, let's just hope for the best for this old game... Let's enjoy it in it's last moments... Because all games die... So do consoles... I'm not so sure what I will do with it if I get a Switch, sell it? Leave it there? Who knows... Because there's still data of Minecraft there, and of other games. So thank you, Minecraft Wii U Edition, for doing the best you could, we'll miss you. Cheers.
