I just started playing a game called Forge of Empires, you can too, and earn some Soul Gems, just look for it: GET MORE --> GAMES --> FORGE OF EMPIRES! Now, it is a very fun one to play, read on to see why!
So, starting with it's graphics, it hasn't got that 'Blitzkrieg' style look that a lot of these free ot play's do, this one has a more modern (but not fully realistic) look to it.
The Tutorial is great. You wont be as bored as ever when your doing this one. Lots of games I play just have the longest, most rediculous tutorial ever, but not this game!
Community - Not just random people saying 'hello'. In this game, the guilds are a major part of the game. They can help you out, and you can trade with them. They are nice people.
City Building is very fun in this game. It is different to most games, where you upgrade, and just click the one to build. This needs you to choose where to build your house, industrials (well kind of!), military, and everything else. This aspect, the sheer ammount of what you can build, is possibly what makes the game so great! Without enough houses, you cant create other building sbecuase you have a low population. Without a high happiness (you can plant/build things that will make peope happy), you wont be getting the most out of your workers! It is all linked!
Capturing Places - Trade or Destroy! Yes, this game has a nice fighting system that lets YOU decide what your men do! Or, trade recources for a peacefull command.
Recources are a necessary part of this game. By capturing a place, you can unlock deposits. Each player gets different ones. That is where trades become useful. You can trade your recources for someone elses, as they will have what you need, you have what they need.
Research - it isn't any different. So the closest thing to other games that this one has is research. You use 'Forge Points' to upgrade/discover technologies, as well as unlock new military units, houses, and other things.
I have only been playing this for a day (or two, can't quite remember) and alread love it!
