I dont get why lol is so popular

I have tried the game but didn't find it amusing, can someone give me some insight of the game, so i might get into it

league of legends is a cool game

From the hype at the start I guess, plus it is a lot similar to DOTA, atleast the basics. So a lot of players from DOTA got familiar in this game. Like I did actually.

The gsme is good because it has a ton of different characters as well as a storied history. Not many games manage to stay big after 10yrs and yet league of legends has done just that and imo

The game is very popular because it has too many champoins (over 145) and it is very fun if you exclude the toxic community

i guess it's because you have a chance to get random skins even if you don't pay

it's easy to pick up and learn, a lot of interesting and unique champions

My guess is that riot really knows their marketing, they did everything they could to tie League to the pro scene, and while i woud agree that they were successful in that regard, they inevitably strayed far from their core player base, the casual players, make no mistake league is a titan in players numbers but it's not due to stellar game development.
