Is Zero to Knife still possible?

I saw so much video back before the trade update came out, where they tried to trade up from zero to a very expensive skin. Is it still possible, or should i just bug like a 50€ skin/keys and start with that?

if you keep trading up for a really long time from some 1 dollar skin you could maybe get knife, but it will take a long time
