I would appreciate anyone's answer if that helps me. About 2 days ago I tried to play Bioshock 2. After clicking 'start' I saw a message saying Steam got a new update. I just clicked 'yes' to update.
After updating, Bioshock 2 doesn't start. It does show me the message to choose single or multiplayer mode, but when I click single mode it shows me the white screen which means the game's being loaded, but after a few seconds it crashes without any message and Bioshock 2 is synchronized with the server and goes back to the state which the game can be started.
I tried almost everything. Checking the integrity of the files, moving data from C to D drive and back again, restarting Steam and my laptop, reinstallling the game and Steam client, running Steam with admin right (or whatever). I even tried removing virtually every file and folder on C drive related to Steam.
Steam support sent me a link with possible solutions but none of those work. Still, other games work well. Even Bioshock 2 multiplay does. Is there anything I may try before reinstalling Win 10, which I really hate to do? I'm pretty sure the Steam update while having the game launched should be the problem but can't handle this.
