Believe it or not, we have reached discussion number 200! Even only counting the numbered threads that's almost one a week for four years. Since this is our 200th edition, we'll be doing things a bit differently. Instead of us proposing a vehicle for discussion, this time the theme of the discussion will be your favourite vehicles. The way it works is that in the top comment you write what your single favourite aircraft and tank in War Thunder is and why. I know it's difficult with the ever increasing amount, but try to limit yourself to really only your number one pick. I think it should spark some interesting discussions in the replies. P.S. It was recently requested that we add a system to hide spoilers in comments to the subreddit, so you can now do that like so:
I see that there are lots of people looking for friends for the new operation campaign lets try keep them in once place to make things easier. To help you find a friend you should post your details to find a match.

Today around 5 Pm warowl was streaming solo quene csgo afik for his solo quene to global series. However he started to get very tilted and was pissed at himself not his teammates in fact he only ever made one comment towards his teammate in a angry manner and it wasn't over in game mic. He apparently is considering stopping streaming and youtube since it isn't doing well for him financially and he just thinks he isn't as good as he used to be( hes used to be able to solo quene to global now he can't get past LE). All this is happening and it seems to be creating a hell that he can't get away from unless he wants the youtube algorithm to kill his views. I just feel sorry for him and I hope as a community we can send some words to encourage him through this tough time. So if WarOwl helped you through a tough time of yours lets try and help him through his tough times.
During metin2.us days this game was something, I spent years of my life powering and lvling my character then 1 day out of the blue we got notice that the server is about to close and we could move to Game Forge with whatever GF server allow us to keep of our gears since they had different stats system, some went to SG which had much stronger stats system than what we had, so we ended up losing almost everything we did. The moral of the story is that this game died for me with Metin2.us server.
It is a pay to win game. The more you pay the fastest you get your skills mastered.
The more you pay the better your gears stats will be.
2006 till 2011 or 2012 this game was worth playing, now, it is only a bad memory and a mistake that I refuse to make again.
I will give it a thumbsup anyways since I wasted 7 years of my life on it back in the days, but today, you can find a newer game that is way more fun and sucks much less $.
It stays true to its prequels, with the complex character and party building and even surpasses it with its itemization and magic-system.
The tactical, phase-based combat is different, due to the 3D engine, but in a good way.
All in all Sir-Tech managed to "modernize" the game without removing the "Wizardry feel" and dumbing it down. This is no small feat, if we look at all kinds of "sequels" and "spiritual successors" in these days.
The game is challenging. Not as hardcore and obscure as the previous games in the series, but it is still no small task to build a capable party and learn the combat system, and successfully finish the game.
It also requires a moderate amount of grinding and save/reloading, but just enough, not to make the game unpalatable.
The artwork is good, it has nicely drawn portraits and a well-designed UI. I also like the stylish, rather wacky 3D graphics, and it looks remarkably good for a 2001 game, on my Win 7 machine, with forced 16Q antialiasing and anisotropic filtering.
The audio is great: A pleasant soundtrack, lots of decent to good voice-acting, and what's truly unique is the different voice-sets for the PCs, which gives them a lot of character.
I find it hard to find some negatives, but here we go:
The combat is very slow out of the box, so using the Wiz8Fast and Wizardry 8 speed mod is mandatory. Also it is possible for PCs and NPCs to get stuck sometimes, plus a few crashes now and then (I had like 5 of them in 100 hours).
I've played over 300 hours of Wizardry 8, a full playthrough requires around 100 hours. If you manage to get this kind of free-time and are interested in an accessible, tactical dungeon-crawler, I can highly recommend it.
9.5/10
Ive played this game since Beta in 2012. I took a break because of life but came back to it recently.
I'm going to list the cons first:
Cons:
-Pay-to-win.
-Devs do not care (at all, they are completely unaware of what players want)
-Forcing you to play a certain ship (alien ships) in order to succeed. Yet the materials to buy the ships are locked behind -RNG loot boxes, or you can pay $40+ to buy it.
-Time consuming. You will find yourself throwing hours upon hours into the game just to save a bit of money, but you will still be worse than the people who originally dropped the cash.
-Low population. Hardly anyone plays in English servers anymore. Its a ghost-town. Trying to find 10 (good) players for their "raids" can be difficult; even on a weekend.
Pros:
Ships look great.
Planets and maps are fantastic.
WAS fun.
TLDR: Wasted potential, let it die.
The combat is akward as and I cannot get used to it, but the huge number of choices makes this a great RPG, so I can forgive the combat. Graphics are old, but that's ok, I've played worse. Music is nice, characters are interesting, story is compelling.
If you're looking for a wonderful RPG, give this a go. Solid 8/10
Oh boy, what to say about tera? Well, I guess I'll start with the good points. This game is TRUELY free to play. Someone who never pays a cent can reach the same level of gear/dungeons/what have you as someone who shells out hundreds of dollars. The graphics are... decent. Not the best, but passable. Some, key word SOME, of the mounts are cool. However..
First and foremost, the community is toxic as ****. There's no cuatomzation via end game gear. It's very much "your level 65? Good, get this set. You got that set now? Good, now get this one." Pve is stupidly easy, quests are boring, storyline is blah at the best of times, and there almost just never feels like much of a reason to join a guild. In fact, most end game players arnt in a guild. Oh! And do you hate the idea of racially locked classes? Well good news! Because not only are their racially locked classes, just gender locked classes too. I mean, I would totally play as a reaper, but I don't want to play as a **** loli cat girl.
In the end, if you can't afford a better mmo, then give it a shot. Just don't have high hopes.
Who would win?
- A skilled player with hundreds of hours invested into the game.
- Comrade Ivan in his vodka fueled Yak flying head on into you
This thing has more slot machines than the whole Las Vegas
Game amasing Comunity kinda sucks Gameplay Fantastic Updated Well gets updated regulary
