Jak wiadomo, w War Thunder istnieje zaawansowany rozwój załogi, oparty na zwiększaniu poszczególnych umiejętności przy pomocy zdobytych w meczu punktów doświadczenia. Kilka rad jak skutecznie rozwijać załogę: 1.Priorytetem powinna być naprawa (zwłaszcza w niszczycielach) oraz żywotność. Przeciwnik precyzyjnym strzałem może wyeliminować całą załogę, lub zniszczyć jeden z modułów, obniżajać naszą skuteczność bojową. 2.Bystry wzrok - albo wy, albo oni. Musimy zwiększyć poziom tej umiejętności, gdyż pozwoli nad wypatrzeć wroga, szybciej niż zrobi to on sam. 3.Zwinność - utrata jednego z członków załogi to standard. Dlatego powinniśmy przygotować się na taką ewentualność. Im większy poziom zwinności mamy, tym szybciej uciekniemy sprzed lufy przeciwnika, w wypadku, gdyby nasz kierowca zostanie zabity. 4.Przeładowanie działa - najprościej, albo my strzelimy pierwsi, albo przeciwnik 5.Przywództwo - podnosi umiejętności pozostałych członków załogi 6.Celowanie - zwłaszcza w późniejszych erach, gdzie celowanie zajmuje więcej czasu, warto będzie mieć tę umiejetności wyćwiczoną
