In little under a week, the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational kicks off from the Singapore Indoor Stadium. With such a short time left before this amazing event, the organisers have now confirmed the groups which will be fighting before the main event.
December feels a bit quiet on the Dota 2 front, especially now that qualifiers have ended for the next batch of DPC events – which only take place in January 2020. But the holiday month does have some action for us, and it’s actually one of the biggest non-DPC tournaments of the year too; the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational. From December 17th and running until December 22nd, a total of 12 teams from around the world will fight in Singpore for their share of a huge $500,000 prize pool as well as the title of One Esports champions. With under six days until the event gets underway, the twelve teams have been split into their two groups and we’re ready for some prime Dota 2 action.
Group A
TNC Predator
Team Secret
Alliance
Team Aster
J.Storm
Virtus.pro
Group B
Vici Gaming
PSG.LGD
Team Liquid
Evil Geniuses
Gambit Esports
Natus Vincere
While there may be a lot of excitement for the Group B action, with so many massive names stacked in one group for the opening days, we’ll also get to see the winner’s of the first Major, TNC Predator, going up against last season’s Major dominators, Team Secret. Plus, this will be the first LAN tournament since TI9 and qualifiers for the likes of Secret, Na’Vi and PSG.LGD too.
With so many massive teams ready to play, the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational is set to be the best way to close out 2019 and with many other activities; including meet-and-greets with teams, cosplayers and an amazing array of talent too, this event is the perfect holiday treat.
